Beaufort
In North Carolina there is a little seafaring town filled with the charm and antiquity of the eighteenth century. One of the old homes of West Indies influence, The Beaufort II, has been lovingly restored by a noted writer of fiction. Considered by some to be a mystery himself, he wanders about at night in the mists and delights in the eerie noises of ships echoing throughout the harbour.
