The Wedge Plantation
Collaboration with a friendly fellow developing Kilgore Plantation in Greenville, South Carolina, resulted in my designing The Wedge Plantation. We determined that a South Carolina historical home should be replicated without but designed within to meet the needs of today. The �original� Wedge, a rice planter�s home, possesses a simple, elegant, classical grace with perfect symmetry enhanced by balanced wings. Researching this 1826 plantation home and designing the �new� Wedge has been an enjoyable experience and one that I wish to share with you.
