Williamsburg Cottage
Visiting Williamsburg is not something to do just once, but many times. As we left the King’s Arms Tavern one Halloween evening, we saw children “ trick or treating” along Duke of Gloucester Street. The only illumination was from candlelit pumpkins placed at every gateway. The perfect balance of the homes (with no two alike): the simple straightforward approach to architecture: the welcoming and humanizing feeling that pervades, along with a sense of time and place – all bespeak the warmth of home.
