Williamsburg Cottage
Visiting Williamsburg is not something to do just once, but many times. As we left the King's Arms Tavern one Halloween evening, we saw children -trick or treating- along Duke of Gloucester Street. The only illumination was from candlelit pumpkins placed at every gateway. The perfect balance of the homes (with no two alike) the simple straightforward approach to architecture: the welcoming and humanizing feeling that pervades, along with a sense of time and place – all bespeak the warmth of home.
