PLEASANT STREET HOMES PRESENTS THE WILLIAM E. POOLE DREAMHOME COLLECTION
“Trends come and go very quickly. There will be many houses that you will soon tire of; however, a classical home will always be treasured and never out of style.” William E. Poole
For William Poole, nationally acclaimed designer of classical residential architecture, being a home planner has always meant more than drafting house plans and developing neighborhoods. The vocation demands an understanding of home as a place to share memories in an environment built on ideals of comfort and beauty – emotional constants that create a true feeling of home.
With approximately one million families living in homes designed by William E. Poole, Poole has now broadened his work to include factory-built homes utilizing cost-saving assembly-line techniques in an environmentally controlled facility. Pleasant Street Homes and William Poole have joined forces to create a complete line of homes at a level of architectural style, quality and value that has never before been attempted on this scale in the systems-built market. Each home, 85% complete, will be delivered to your site within a ninety day timeframe. These homes surpass conventional site-built construction with their fine craftsmanship, structural integrity, cost savings and environmental impact. “Frankly,” says Poole, “it is a better way to build. I am excited to be working with the professional and progressive group at Pleasant Street Homes. They have a broad background and an excellent reputation for the highest quality and innovative home construction in the industry.”
The intent of Pleasant Street Homes and Poole is to recreate the harmony of our more elegant past. Poole wants to enable people to fulfill their vision of home. That vision is rooted in the language of architecture. Poole’s work is a fluent survey of American vernacular building, particularly of the South, alongside more scholarly, neoclassical forms from a wide range of periods and regions. From Cape Cod bungalows to antebellum manors, his homes are cunning hybrids of style, yet all resonate as deeply authentic spaces borne of an exacting attention to proportion, detail and line — a timeless architectural tradition. Each home was created to have a presence of its’ own while retaining the ability to integrate into any neighborhood.
The William E. Poole Dreamhome Collection encompasses fourteen home designs ranging from 2,000 to 5,000 square feet. Poole is currently completing a collection of William E. Poole Getaways which will consist of ten vacation homes, cabins, lake houses and retreats. All are exclusive to Pleasant Street Homes.
