Lafayette
Let me tell you a little known, but very true story. When our soldiers were overseas during World War I, they fell in love with the inviting, aged and patinaed old homes of France-homes that gave them feelings of warmth in their otherwise desolate days. Upon returning home after the war, they decided to build romantic cottages such as the Lafayette for themselves; thus, introducing to our shores the symmetry, quaintness and detail of classical French architecture. And as all classics do, they remain and endure gracefully the test of time.
